Progress 5 FINAL

2 June 2015

We have finish our zine and my partner and i went to Officeworks together to print out our zine. We print out in a mini size zine and we show it to our lecture yesterday and he said it was too small and there’s too  less words so we have to adjust the zine and add more explanation about out animation.

We reprint the zine yesterday at the school library.

It’s in A4 size. So finally we can feel relieve.

We completely our animation and zine. The collaboration project was very difficult sometimes. I didn’t really has a proper meeting with my partner, as my partners has to attend college and doing her essay and is so hard to find a timing with her seat down and talk about our animation and project. Every time we meet, our conversation only last for 2 hours.(she has to do essay) So, in my opinion for this collaboration project i don’t really enjoy much. But making animation was very interesting. But i love doing collaboration work! Doing Collaboration work with other is really good as we can hear a lot of different opinion from others and share it so we can develop more. We can learn a lot too.

I did a research about zine and found some picture too. It was interesting and i show it to my partner and she suggest that we make a zine using illustrators. So i agree with her because using illustrators to make a zine seem interesting and my partner look really happy too.

And the next day is Monday…..

My partner and i continue the the animation we stop on 22 May 2015. We finally come up with a good animation for the autumn and winter. We start to take photos again and finally we finish the animation and my partner said she was going to edit and then show it to me in youtube.

Progress 02…

22 May 2015

My partner and I meet up and we went to a art and craft stall at wollongong central to buy the stuff we need for the animation and storyboard. After we bought finish out stuff. We start to do our animation, first we have to cut the clay into flower petal because the first scene is spring. So we done cutting it and my partner who is taking the photo will guide me if i move too much or out of place because i’m the one moving the clay movements and is very tiring as i have to keep standing and move the clay every seconds. We spent 5-6 hours to completely the spring and summer and we are going to continue autumn and winter next day. As, we are still hesitating what animation should we do for autumn and snow.

After we each went back home, i start to draw the storyboard for the animation.

Progress

Today i discuss with my partner for the project and we came out of an idea. The tittle is four season, we will use clay and make a for season clay animation. But right now we are stuck with autumn. Tomorrow we are going to discuss again and hope by this week we can start doing a little bit of our animation. Because we still have to make a zine.

We each do an individual research and the next day we met we will share about what animation have we thoughts of and this was the idea i came up with. A small animation that i draw, i show it to my partner and she said she prefer the third picture and i agree with her too because it will be more interesting to use clay and make a effect clip animation. So we decide to use that third picture and we came out with a tittle call Four season for now. We will doing four season with the clay!

When we meet up and sharing our research material. we kind of stuck because we couldn’t really think of what to make. But after seeing the third picture, we really think of we could make a animation with the pattern. So we came up of an idea of the four season.

Report for school and process about school major project.

Today at class we have finally done finish out animation! The tittle is called Happy face or something i kind of forgotten. It was a very short clip but it really amazed me because we spend 7 hour 4 hour in Tuesday and 3 hour in Wednesday and we could do such a cool animation.

Project:

Me and my group mate decide to do a clay animation with paper. It will be quite tough because there’s only two of us and we only left 2 more weeks to do this and we haven’t start anything last week. So today we finally come up with this animation plan we i started to get all the material i need. Because i have study animation for 2 years so i know what should i need and how to start. Right now me and my group mate decide each person come up with a story line and we will read whose is better or we could join some of the story line together. I’m gonna draw the storyboard and doing the clay my group mate is going to focus on the zine.

Homewor：ConsensusDecision Making

I　think voting is not about win or lose. It’s about the situation itself, if is a group work we just have to follow out thoughts and share it with the group. So that our group members can use each other idea or each of their idea to develop more by combining their idea together and proceed further.

Assessment 2A and 2B

Assessment 2A

When i was doing Assessment 2A there really is a lot of problems. In my whole life this is the first time i experience so much things. I went to supermarkets a few times because my chocolate bowl experiment fail twice and i have to buy a lot of milk and vinegar for my other project and i didn’t know that i need so much stuff so i have to go to the central almost everyday. But it was worth it because the experiment result turn out good.

For my major project i was using milk and vinegar to make a clay, i make a character out of it and i waited for 2 days but it was not harden and i really got quite worried because as the video said it will try 2 days but i waited 2 days and it still quite soft. So i have to wait for a few more days.

Assessment 2B 

Uploading the video and editing was quite a tough thing to do. Because the video has to be 30 seconds or like 2 minutes but i tried to cut my video as short as possible but still it can’t end in 30 sec especially for my major project the video was around 2 minutes plus so i have to cut a lot part and fast forward a lot of scene.

Cava 101/102 last experiment!

This experiment i use vinegar and soak four material in the vinegar for one week.

The material i soak was:

One hard boiled

One uncook egg

2 clothes with different color (Which i want to see if the colors has any changes)

I got this idea when i was shopping in coles and i walk past the vinegar and think ” what if i try soak some material in the vinegar for one week, what would it become?”

And i try it!

As you can see the result.

Both egg shell is gone and i can easily rub it off. I could tell which one is the hard-boiled egg because it has different feeling when i hold it. The uncooked egg felt like jelly and it was gonna burst if i press it harder.

The clothes didn’t has any changes so i was kind of disappointed. Because i have a high expectation that maybe the color of the clothes will become lighter or the color will came off but it didn’t happen not a bit.

So the result is the egg was a good experiment in vinegar not the clothes.

Major project!

This experiment is about milk and vinegar. I thought of this idea from kim and penny lessons. It’s about clay and sculpture. So i wanna make a character with different type of clay so i research a lot in the internet and i watch some video and i finally found it.

Below is the video i make a character from the curd made from milk and vinegar,

It turn out pretty well but there’s a crack. So the result is if i use the clay made from milk and vinegar it will crack.

Mistake i made:

I kind of make a few mistake for this experiment and i have to go to the supermarkets for a few time because i need a lot of milk thanks to the failure of making curd.

I try to use two cups of milk and 3 tablespoon of vinegar it turn out really well and second time i try Two cups of milk and 5 tablespoon of vinegar it turn out really bad it didn’t become a chunk and the curd is spreading in smaller tiny little size so it fail and that’s why i need to buy milk.

So i learn my lessons and use one cup of milk and two tablespoon of vinegar. It  took a lot of time because i have to repeat so steps .

I made another small experiment.

I use the same ingredients but this time i added egg yolk. So it turn like a harden mayonnaise but the inner part is not hard just the outside is hard.

The different between them is the one with egg yolk has a glossy look and is very smooth and the one without the egg yolk has a rough texture.
